Mersin Silifke Transfer
Silifke private transfer to hotels in Taşucu, Atakent, Susanoğlu, Boğsak and Narlıkuyu, plus trips to Uzuncaburç and the Taşucu ferry harbour.
Transfer to Mersin Silifke
When someone asks us for a Silifke transfer, our first question is always: which part of Silifke? This district in western Mersin is far more than one town centre. It takes in the Göksu delta, the hilltop castle, the port of Taşucu, the beaches of Atakent and Susanoğlu, the islands off Boğsak and the ruins of Uzuncaburç inland. This page introduces Silifke and explains where our private transfers run from here.
Where the Göksu Meets the Sea
The Göksu river runs through Silifke and spreads into a wide delta south of town. With its reed beds, lagoons and dunes, the Göksu Delta is well known to birdwatchers, and in spring and autumn you will see people with binoculars along its edges.
Above the town stands Silifke Castle. Below it are the river bridge, the market streets and the yoghurt Silifke is known for across Turkey. The river has its place in history books too: Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa is said to have drowned in the Göksu during the Crusades. A small town. A long story.
Coast, Coves and Ancient Hills
Accommodation is spread across a long coastline, and our system lists more than forty hotels in the district, from family resorts like Altınkum Tatil Köyü to large properties such as Elite World Resort Mersin Silifke and small spots like Boğsak Motel overlooking the bay.
- Taşucu: the harbour, fish restaurants and the sea link to Northern Cyprus
- Atakent and Susanoğlu: holiday homes and beach hotels on the Mersin side
- Boğsak: a quiet cove facing small islands, popular for boat trips
- Narlıkuyu: the stretch of coast leading to the Heaven and Hell sinkholes
- Uzuncaburç: inland, home to ancient Diocaesarea and its Temple of Zeus
- Ayatekla: just outside town, an important early Christian pilgrimage site
- Silifke centre: castle, bridge, bazaar and the river promenade
Ferries sail from Taşucu to Northern Cyprus, but schedules vary by season, so check the current timetable before you travel.
Who Comes to Silifke
Summer fills the beach hotels and holiday homes with families, retirees and visitors from abroad. Spring and autumn bring history lovers and birdwatchers. All year round, engineers and technical staff working at Akkuyu, who stay in Silifke or Taşucu, are among our regular passengers.
Couples travel comfortably in a Business Sedan or Premium Sedan. A family with beach bags and a pushchair is better off in a VIP Vito. Two families or a house full of summer guests fit in the eight-seat Mercedes Vito, and larger work crews in the fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter.
Where We Drive From Silifke
The airport is the most frequent request. Guests also travel to Mersin for shopping or hospital visits, to Kizkalesi, to Mut and Alahan, towards Akkuyu and on to Adana. Rides to and from Taşucu harbour come up often too. For the airport leg along the coast, and how to reach each part of the district, see our page on the transfer from Çukurova Airport to Silifke.
We price per vehicle, not per passenger. Choose Silifke or your hotel in the booking form, enter the date and compare vehicle classes. Child seats can be added as an extra.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you need to know which part of Silifke I am staying in?
Silifke is a large district, and places like Taşucu, Atakent, Susanoğlu, Boğsak, Narlıkuyu and Uzuncaburç can be quite far apart. Selecting your hotel in the booking form, or writing the area and accommodation name in the notes, makes the drop-off point clear and lets us plan the journey correctly.
Can you take us to the ferry in Taşucu?
Yes. You can book a point-to-point transfer to Taşucu harbour or from the harbour to your hotel. Ferry days and times change with the season, so check the latest schedule with the ferry operator before you travel, and write your sailing time in the notes to help you choose the right pickup time.
Can we visit Uzuncaburç and Ayatekla by car?
Yes, as point-to-point transfers: one from your hotel to the site and one back. Use the Add return option in the booking form to put both legs in the same reservation and choose each time yourself. Uzuncaburç is inland and gets hot in summer, so a morning visit is usually more comfortable.
I work at Akkuyu. Can I book regular trips from Silifke?
You can book each journey as a separate point-to-point transfer through the booking form. If you travel as a team, an eight-seat Mercedes Vito or fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter carries everyone in one vehicle, and because prices are per vehicle the cost per person goes down.
