Sports Team Transfer

Adana Koza Arena stadium — sports team and squad transfer

Squads travel heavy. Twenty-odd people, kit hampers, ball nets, a physio bag that weighs more than anyone's suitcase, and a team manager holding a schedule that cannot slip. Çukurova Express runs sports team and squad transfer in Adana and Mersin around that schedule: from the arrivals hall at Çukurova Airport to the team hotel, from the hotel to training, to the ground on match day and back to the airport afterwards. Each leg is booked as its own door-to-door private transfer, so a change in one part of the day never knocks the rest over.

What a Visiting Squad Needs From Its Ground Transport

Away trips follow a familiar pattern. The flight lands in the afternoon. There is a light session that evening, the match the next day and a flight home soon after the final whistle. Nothing about that rhythm leaves room for a minibus that is too small or a pickup that is in the wrong place.

We plan it leg by leg. Airport to hotel. Hotel to training ground. Hotel to stadium. Stadium to airport. Each one has a pickup time, a pickup point and a vehicle mix of its own. When training moves by an hour, only that leg changes.

To build the plan we ask the team manager or travel coordinator for a handful of details:

  • Head count, split into players and staff
  • Flight numbers in and out
  • Team hotel name and address
  • Training and kick-off times, with the address of each venue
  • How much equipment travels: kit hampers, ball bags, medical cases, anything bulky
  • The hotel check-out plan on the last day

Sprinter Plus Vito: Splitting Players, Staff and Kit

The classic mistake is trying to fit the whole travelling party into one large vehicle. The players fit. The kit does not. Knees end up against seat backs and bags ride on laps.

A combination works better. The Mercedes Sprinter carries up to 15 passengers and takes the main body of the squad. A Mercedes Vito for 8 takes coaching staff or substitutes, and some of its seats can be given over to equipment when that makes more sense. Directors or visiting officials can travel separately in a VIP Vito or Ultra VIP Vito for six, or in the Ultra VIP Sprinter for seven. A three-person delegation, or a referee team, fits comfortably in a Business Sedan, Premium Sedan or Comfort Class car.

Prices are per vehicle, not per passenger. How you split the party across vehicles therefore shapes the cost directly. Give us an honest picture of the equipment volume and we will find the mix that avoids an extra vehicle without squeezing anyone.

Youth squads and academy groups

Academy trips look different again. More travellers, younger ones, parents or coaches along for the ride, and luggage that rarely matches the packing list. If any young athlete needs a child seat, it can be added as an extra. Splitting the group by age across vehicles also makes the head count at each drop-off much simpler.

Arrival at Çukurova Airport

Çukurova Airport opened as the region's new international gateway and sits between Adana and Mersin, on the edge of Tarsus. For visiting teams that is a practical position. One arrival point serves hotels in Adana's city districts as well as those in central Mersin and along the coast to the west.

Our meeting point is the arrivals exit, with a name sign. The sign can show the club or the delegation name; just add the wording you want to the booking notes. We track the flight, so if it lands late the pickup time moves with it. Collecting kit hampers from the belt takes time, which is worth building into your exit plan.

The general set-up for all airport legs, including hotels across the region, is described on our Çukurova Airport transfer page. For teams, the difference is the number of vehicles and the space given to kit.

Match Day: Working Backwards From Kick-Off

Match day timing is rigid. Warm-up has a fixed start, and so does dressing-room access. We work backwards from those times, taking into account where the hotel sits and how the city moves at that hour.

In Adana, evening traffic between the Seyhan and Çukurova districts can thicken around the end of the working day. Mersin stretches along the shoreline, so a hotel in Mezitli or out towards Erdemli can feel further from a central venue than the map suggests. We do not quote exact journey times here, because kick-off time, weekday and season change the picture every time.

One practical tip from the road. Write the pickup time as the moment the squad will actually be ready in the lobby, not the moment the meeting is called. Getting twenty players downstairs at once is rarely quick.

Training days during a camp

Pre-season camps often mean two sessions a day. Each session is a separate transfer out and back between hotel and pitch. Send the full camp programme at the start and the vehicle mix stays consistent from the first day to the last.

Why Clubs Pick the Çukurova Region for Camps and Tournaments

The Çukurova plain stays mild through much of the winter, which is one reason teams and youth tournaments come here outside the summer months. A single week can involve beachfront hotels along the Mersin coast, venues inside Adana, and grounds around Tarsus.

Tournaments tend to scatter groups. One age group might play in central Mersin while another plays in Tarsus. Booking each group as its own set of transfers, with its own vehicles and times, keeps things clean. If the tournament moves on to another province, say Gaziantep or Kayseri, that leg runs as an intercity transfer, where vehicle choice and kit placement matter even more over a longer road.

Summer camps bring heat. Sessions shift to early morning and late evening, and the transfer times shift with them. Once the programme is final, send it to us in one go.

After the Final Whistle

The match ends; the day does not. Showers, media duties, medical checks and packing the kit all happen before anyone boards a vehicle. When booking the stadium pickup, allow for extra time on the pitch and for the press schedule.

If the squad heads straight for the flight, the stadium-to-airport leg is a transfer of its own. If it stops at the hotel first, that becomes two legs: stadium to hotel, then hotel to Çukurova Airport. To plan the outward and return journeys in one booking, use the "Add return" option on the booking form; no second booking is needed.

Fixtures move. If a time changes after you book, open the My Reservation page to view your booking and send a change request. The earlier we hear about it, the easier the update.

Booking: From a Referee Trio to a Full Travelling Party

Small groups can book straight from the form on our website. Choose pickup and drop-off points, the date and the vehicle class, and you will see the price for that vehicle class on the form.

Multi-vehicle squads, camp programmes and tournament weeks are handled differently. Send your programme through the contact page or by phone with the head count, equipment volume, hotel and venue addresses and flight details, and we will come back to you with vehicle classes and a price. Once the plan is agreed, every leg is entered as a separate transfer.

Your next step: put the travelling list and the schedule together, then use the booking form for a small group or the contact page for a full squad.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I arrange transport for a visiting sports team in Adana?

Send us the head count, equipment volume, flight numbers, hotel address and the training and match times. For larger squads, the contact page or a phone call is the easiest route. We will suggest a mix of Sprinter, Vito and, if needed, sedan vehicles, then reply with vehicle classes and a price. Every movement is planned as a separate door-to-door transfer.

Do kit hampers and ball bags need their own vehicle?

That depends on the volume. With a large squad and plenty of equipment, putting players in the Sprinter and staff plus kit in a Vito is often the most comfortable split. Note the number of hampers and bags in your booking or message and we will agree the right combination with you. Because pricing is per vehicle, this choice also affects the total cost.

What happens if the team's flight lands late at Çukurova Airport?

We track the flight, and the pickup time is adjusted to the actual landing time. The meeting point is the arrivals exit, where you will see a name sign. If you want the club or delegation name on the sign, add it to the booking notes. Collecting kit from the baggage belt can take a while, so plan your exit with that in mind.

Can the squad travel from the stadium straight to the airport?

Yes. The stadium-to-airport leg is booked as its own transfer. If the team returns to the hotel first, that is two legs: stadium to hotel and hotel to airport. Use the "Add return" option on the booking form to plan outward and return journeys together. Choose a realistic pickup time that allows for media and medical duties after the match.

Can you handle daily training transfers for a camp in Mersin?

Yes. During a camp, each training session is a separate transfer from the hotel to the pitch and back. Send the whole programme, with days and times, through the contact page or by phone at the start, and we will keep the vehicle mix consistent throughout. If times change, submit a change request from the My Reservation page.
