Intercity Transfer

Motorway in Türkiye — intercity private transfer from Adana and Mersin

Southern Turkey is a region of short flights and long drives. A meeting in Adana runs late and you need to be in Gaziantep by evening. A beach week in Mersin ends and the family wants two nights in Cappadocia. An engineer finishes a rotation and heads inland to Kayseri. Çukurova Express handles this kind of trip as an intercity private transfer from Adana and Mersin: one vehicle, booked for you alone, from your door to the address you name. No bus station, no change of coach, no dragging suitcases across a terminal. The car leaves when you are ready.

Where an Intercity Private Transfer Can Take You

Adana and Mersin sit at the centre of our service area, and the journey between them is one of the most common we run. It links Adana's city districts, Seyhan and Çukurova among them, with central Mersin, Mezitli and the coastline that continues west to Erdemli, Silifke and Kızkalesi. Tarsus lies on the road in between.

From there the map opens up. East lie Osmaniye, Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş. To the south-east, Hatay runs down the shore of the İskenderun gulf towards Antakya. North, the road climbs through the Taurus Mountains via Pozantı to Niğde, Nevşehir with Cappadocia, and Kayseri on the Anatolian plateau.

Each direction suits a different kind of traveller:

  1. Gaziantep and Osmaniye: the eastern corridor, busy with business travel
  2. Kahramanmaraş: a branch north-east beyond Osmaniye
  3. Hatay: along the gulf to İskenderun and on to Antakya
  4. Niğde: the first province over the Taurus crossing
  5. Nevşehir and Cappadocia: the favourite for valley hotels and early balloon mornings
  6. Kayseri: the route onto the plateau, where winter weather can set the pace

If your destination is not on this list, ask anyway. When a point is missing from the booking form, contact us through the contact page.

Choosing a Vehicle for a Long Drive

For a short city hop almost any car will do. Over several hours the question changes. It is no longer whether the luggage fits, but whether everyone is still comfortable on arrival.

Solo travellers and pairs on business usually pick a Business Sedan, Premium Sedan or Comfort Class car, each for up to three passengers. If you carry large suitcases, sample cases or boxes of brochures for a trade fair, consider moving up a class. Families and small groups tend to prefer the VIP Vito or Ultra VIP Vito, which seat six; over a long distance the extra cabin space is noticeable. The Mercedes Vito takes up to eight, the Mercedes Sprinter up to fifteen, and the Ultra VIP Sprinter seats seven for groups who want more room each.

Prices are per vehicle, not per passenger. For a family of four heading to Cappadocia that makes a real difference. You will see the price for each vehicle class on the booking form and can compare before you choose.

Travelling with young children

On a long road, a child seat is about safety as much as comfort. You can add one as an extra when booking. Put the child's age in the notes so the right seat can be planned.

Asking for a Rest Stop

People want different things from a long drive. Some want a coffee halfway. Some want the children to stretch their legs. Some just want to get there. That is why we suggest writing your rest-stop request in the notes field of the booking form.

Be specific: "We would like one break on the way" or "A short stop after the mountain crossing, please." It is a request, considered in light of road, weather and traffic conditions. If you want to spend real time somewhere along the way, for a visit or a meal in town, plan it differently: book the outward journey and the next leg as separate point-to-point transfers. For example, Adana to Tarsus as one transfer, then Tarsus to Mersin as another.

Night Drives and Early Starts

Plenty of intercity trips happen after dark. A dinner meeting ends and the next morning's work is in another province. Or you want to reach your cave hotel in Cappadocia before midnight so the alarm for sunrise is not too painful.

Two things help at night. First, the pickup time: if the end of your meeting is uncertain, choose a realistic time rather than an optimistic one. Second, the destination address: give the full address, including the entrance that is easy to find late at night. Weather on the Taurus crossings can change in winter, so if you are heading towards Niğde, Nevşehir or Kayseri on a winter evening, keep a little flexibility in your plans.

Very early departures follow the same logic. You set the time, and the transfer is planned around it.

Straight From Çukurova Airport to Another Province

Çukurova Airport lies between Adana and Mersin, on the edge of Tarsus. For many visitors, the intercity journey therefore begins in the arrivals hall. You are met at the arrivals exit with a name sign, and because we track your flight, the pickup time moves with any delay.

We have dedicated pages for the most requested airport routes. For the city of Adana and its districts, see Çukurova Airport to Adana transfer; for central Mersin and the coast, see Çukurova Airport to Mersin transfer. Heading east, the Çukurova Airport to Gaziantep transfer page covers that route, and for the plateau the Çukurova Airport to Kayseri transfer page has the details.

Those pages describe trips that start at the airport. An intercity transfer can just as easily start at a hotel in Adana, a home in Mersin or an office in Tarsus.

Luggage, Samples and Pushchairs

Intercity trips usually carry more luggage than people expect. A week of family holiday, sample boxes for a trade fair, a folding pushchair, a golf bag. All of it affects which vehicle makes sense.

List the number of bags and any bulky items in the booking notes. Three passengers with five large suitcases are often better off in a Vito than a sedan. For groups, leaving a few Sprinter seats empty frees up space for bags. Not sure? Send us a message through the contact page and we will decide together.

Booking and Planning the Return

Intercity transfers are booked on the website form. Choose the pickup and drop-off points, date, time and vehicle class; the price for that class appears on the form. For a round trip, use the "Add return" option to put the return journey on the same booking; there is no need for a second one.

After booking, the My Reservation page lets you view your details and send a change request for the time or address. If your plan is a multi-province tour, booking each leg as a separate transfer keeps it simple.

Next step: open the booking form, select your starting point and destination province, compare vehicle classes and add your luggage and rest-stop notes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get from Adana to Gaziantep by private car?

On the booking form, enter your Adana address as the pickup point and Gaziantep as the destination, then choose the date and time. The price for each vehicle class is shown on the form. You are collected at your door and dropped at your address in Gaziantep, with no changes on the way. Add a return with the "Add return" option if you need one.

Is an intercity transfer priced per person?

No. Pricing is per vehicle. The price of the vehicle class you choose stays the same however many passengers ride, within its capacity. Families and small groups often find this works in their favour on longer journeys. The current price for each class appears on the booking form, so you can compare classes against your luggage before deciding.

Can we stop on the way from Mersin to Cappadocia?

You can write a rest-stop request in the notes field of the booking form. It is a request and is considered in light of road, weather and traffic conditions. If you want to spend longer somewhere along the route, plan the journey as separate point-to-point transfers instead. In winter, weather on the Taurus crossing can change, so keep your plans flexible.

Can I go from Çukurova Airport straight to another province?

Yes. Door-to-door transfers run from Çukurova Airport to Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Kayseri and other provinces in the region. You are met at the arrivals exit with a name sign, and since we track the flight, the pickup time is adjusted if it lands late. Include your flight number and full destination address when you book.

Is a night-time intercity transfer possible?

Yes; you choose the pickup time on the booking form. For night journeys, pick a realistic pickup time and give the full destination address, including an entrance that is easy to find late in the evening. If you are heading towards Niğde, Nevşehir or Kayseri in winter, allow for changing weather on the Taurus crossing.
