A Çukurova Airport to Susanoglu transfer covers almost the whole east-west sweep of the Mersin coast. The airport sits on the Tarsus side; Susanoglu lies beyond Erdemli and Kizkalesi, at the eastern edge of Atakent in the Silifke district. It is a long drive, but a scenic one. Here is how it works, from the arrivals hall to the gate of your holiday estate.

A Name Sign at Arrivals

We track the flight number in your booking. If you land late, the pickup time follows the real landing. Collect your bags, walk out through the arrivals exit and look for the sign with your name.

Families heading to a summer home are usually the last ones off the baggage belt. Boxes, a folded pushchair, oversized suitcases. Take your time. The driver waits with the sign.

From Motorway to Coast Road

The first part of the trip uses the wide motorway and ring roads around Tarsus and Mersin. West of Mersin the coast road begins. Holiday estates at Mezitli and Tece give way to the greenhouses and lemon groves of Erdemli. Near Ayaş, ancient ruins stand at the roadside. After the sea castle at Kizkalesi comes the cove at Narlıkuyu, and Susanoglu's beach starts just beyond.

This road is busy in summer. Expect heavier traffic heading west on Friday evenings and heading east on Sunday evenings, especially where the road passes through beach towns. Our drivers know these patterns and plan for them.

Boxes, Bikes and a Long Summer

On this route luggage matters more than headcount. A couple coming for a weekend and a family moving in for the summer need different vehicles.

  • Couple with a few bags: Business Sedan or Premium Sedan
  • Couple who want more space for a long drive: Ultra VIP Vito
  • Family with summer luggage and a pushchair: VIP Vito
  • Two families, or three generations together: eight-seat Mercedes Vito

Larger groups can choose the fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter. Prices are per vehicle and the booking form shows every class side by side. Child seats can be added as an extra.

Book the End-of-Summer Return Now

Leaving a summer home is more complicated than arriving. You close up the flat, turn off the water and hand the keys to a neighbour. Add the return while booking your arrival, using the "Add return" option in the booking form, and if dates shift, send a change request through the My Reservation page. Given the length of the coast road, work back from your flight time and leave room for check-in.

For more on the neighbourhood, its beach and nearby day trips, see our Susanoglu page. To book, select Çukurova Airport as pickup and Susanoglu as drop-off, then write your estate name in the notes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which way does the road from the airport go?

The route starts on the wide roads around Tarsus and Mersin, then follows the coast road west of Mersin. After Mezitli, Erdemli and Kizkalesi it passes Narlıkuyu and reaches Susanoglu. For most of the way the sea is right beside you, and in summer the sections through beach towns can slow down.

What happens if our flight is delayed?

We track the flight number you give in your booking. If the plane lands late, the pickup time moves to match the actual landing, and your driver waits at the arrivals exit with a name sign. Just make sure the flight number in your reservation is correct.

We are staying all summer. When should we book the return?

We recommend adding the return when you book your arrival, using the "Add return" option in the booking form, so both legs sit in one reservation. If the date or time changes later, send a change request through the My Reservation page. That way you are not hunting for a car in the busy last days of summer.

Can we bring boxes and bicycles?

Yes, but match the vehicle to the load. For bulky items a VIP Vito, the eight-seat Mercedes Vito or a Mercedes Sprinter works better than a sedan. Note the number of boxes and any large items such as bikes when you book, so you can check the class you picked fits everything.
