Çukurova Airport Mersin Transfer
Vehicles & Prices
Price per vehicle — pick a class and book in a minute.
A Çukurova Airport to Mersin transfer is unusual in one respect: you are already in Mersin province when the wheels touch down. The airport sits within Tarsus district, on the open plain east of the city. So the question is not how to reach Mersin. It is which part of Mersin. A port meeting downtown, a beach week at Kızkalesi and a shift rotation at Akkuyu all share the same province, yet they are very different drives. This page walks through each stretch of the province, from the arrivals hall onward.
A Name Board and an Open Plain
Your driver waits at the arrivals exit holding a board with your name. We track your flight, so if it lands late, the pickup time follows the new arrival time. Once you are in the car, the landscape is flat and green: citrus groves, greenhouses, long rows of farmland. Then the plain narrows and the sea appears. That is the easy part of the province.
Mersin City: A Long Strip, Not a Single Centre
The city of Mersin stretches along the shore across four districts: Akdeniz, Yenişehir, Mezitli and Toroslar. Akdeniz holds the port and the free zone, so visitors here are often in shipping, customs or trade. Yenişehir and Mezitli are the residential and hotel belt along the seafront, with the university and hospital areas nearby. Toroslar climbs toward the hills. Please give us the hotel name or the exact residential compound and block. Street names repeat across neighbourhoods here, and a precise address saves time at the door.
Tarsus, the Industrial Zone and the Highlands
Tarsus is the airport's closest neighbour. The old town around St. Paul's Well and Cleopatra's Gate, the Tarsus waterfall and the university campuses are short rides. Engineers and auditors heading to the Mersin-Tarsus Organised Industrial Zone usually take this same short route. Go north into the Taurus range and the picture changes. Highland villages such as Çamlıyayla and Gözne sit at the end of winding mountain roads, popular with families escaping the summer heat.
The Western Coast and Akkuyu
Most of the province's length lies to the west. The coast road runs through Erdemli, Kızkalesi and Silifke, then on to Taşucu, Aydıncık, Bozyazı and Anamur. Past Silifke the road twists more, and the sea keeps slipping in and out of view. Travellers on this stretch tend to fall into a few groups:
- Families arriving for summer homes at Kızkalesi, Ayaş or Susanoğlu.
- Project staff and contractor teams bound for the Akkuyu nuclear plant area near Gülnar and Büyükeceli, often with tool cases and long-stay luggage.
- Passengers continuing from Taşucu port; please check the ferry schedule before you travel.
- Holidaymakers heading for the quieter beaches around Anamur and Bozyazı.
Inland, Mut lies in the Göksu valley, reached by a road that leaves the coast at Silifke. Ancient sites such as Uzuncaburç are on the mountain roads above.
Picking the Right Vehicle
A solo business traveller going downtown is well served by a Business Sedan or Premium Sedan. A family of four or five heading west will appreciate the space of a VIP Vito or Ultra VIP Vito. Teams for Akkuyu fit a Mercedes Vito (8 seats) or a Mercedes Sprinter (15 seats). Prices are per vehicle, not per person, and you see the fare for each vehicle class in the booking form. A child seat can be added as an extra. On the long coastal run you can ask for a stop in the notes field, and the Add return option lets you book the trip back in the same reservation. For more on the province and its districts, see our Mersin transfer page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Çukurova Airport actually in Mersin?
Yes. Çukurova Airport is located in Tarsus, a district of Mersin province. Tarsus and Mersin city are therefore short rides, while the western districts such as Silifke, Bozyazı and Anamur are still in the province but involve a long coastal drive. Choose your destination in the form and the transfer is planned for that address.
Can we travel to Kızkalesi or Silifke after a late-night arrival?
Yes. Transfers are planned around your flight, and if you enter your flight number, the pickup time is adjusted when the flight is delayed. For holiday compounds, add the gate name and block number in the notes field so the driver finds the right entrance in the dark.
How should a project team book a transfer to Akkuyu?
Choose the vehicle by headcount and luggage: a Mercedes Vito carries up to eight passengers and a Mercedes Sprinter up to fifteen. If team members arrive on different flights, book a separate transfer for each flight. Write the site or accommodation name in the notes field.
Can I change my booking after it is confirmed?
You can view your booking on the My Reservation page and send a change request for details such as flight time, address or number of passengers. If your flight has changed, send the request as early as you can so the pickup can be rearranged for the new time.
