The real question on a Çukurova Airport to Erdemli transfer is how far along the coast you are going. Erdemli is a long district: the drive to Tömük and the drive to Kumkuyu start the same way but end in different places, and anyone heading up to the plateaus keeps going long after the beach. The airport is on the Tarsus side of Mersin; Erdemli lies west of the city. Here is how the journey works, from arrivals to your door.

Late Flight? The Sign Still Waits

We follow the flight number in your booking. If you land late, the pickup time moves with the actual landing. After baggage reclaim, walk out of the arrivals exit and look for the driver holding a sign with your name.

This matters most on evening arrivals. Nobody wants to explain directions near midnight with tired children in tow.

West Past the City, Then the Coast

From the airport the car heads west on the wide roads around Tarsus and Mersin. Once the city thins out, the landscape changes. The Taurus foothills rise on the right, the sea opens on the left, and lemon orchards and long rows of greenhouses fill the gap. On summer evenings traffic can thicken at the entrances to the beach villages. Drivers know where.

If you are staying beyond Erdemli town, the ride stretches further. You pass the ruins at Ayaş, then catch sight of Kızkalesi's sea castle. Kumkuyu lies further west still. That is why we ask for your village in the notes.

Heading Up to the Plateaus

For Güzeloluk or Sorgun, the road leaves the coast and climbs into the Taurus with plenty of bends. Families moving up for the summer usually arrive with a lot more than suitcases:

  • Suitcases, food bags and a few cardboard boxes
  • Grandparents, children and a pushchair
  • A return to the coast in autumn that also needs planning
  • An arrival time that often slips into late afternoon

For that, a VIP Vito or the eight-seat Mercedes Vito is a sensible start, and a Mercedes Sprinter if two families travel together. A couple with two cases is fine in a Business Sedan or Premium Sedan. Child seats can be added to the booking as an extra.

Book the Way Back Now

When you book the arrival, use the "Add return" option in the booking form so the return leg sits in the same reservation. No second booking is needed. Choose the return pickup by working back from your flight, leaving time for check-in, and allow a little more if you are leaving from the western end of the district or from the plateau. For more on the villages, plateaus and ancient sites, see our Erdemli page.

Prices are per vehicle and the form lists every class side by side. Select Çukurova Airport as pickup and Erdemli as drop-off, then add your flight number and village.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you need to know which village in Erdemli?

Erdemli stretches a long way along the coast. Tömük, Limonlu, the town centre, Ayaş, Kızkalesi and Kumkuyu are all in different places, and the plateau neighbourhoods sit at the end of a mountain road. Writing your village, complex or hotel name in the notes lets the driver plan the journey properly and drop you at the right door.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight number in your booking. If the plane lands late, the pickup time is adjusted to the real landing time, and the driver will be at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name when you come out. Entering the correct flight number when you book is what makes this work.

Can we go straight from the airport to the plateau?

Yes. Choose Erdemli as the destination and write Güzeloluk, Sorgun or your plateau house address in the notes. Because the mountain road is winding and summer moves involve a lot of luggage, a VIP Vito, a Mercedes Vito or, for larger groups, a Mercedes Sprinter makes the ride more comfortable.

Do I need a separate booking for the return?

No. The "Add return" option in the booking form puts the return journey in the same reservation as your arrival. Work out the return pickup time back from your flight. If you are leaving from the far west of the district or from the plateau, pick a slightly earlier time to allow for the longer drive.
