Çukurova Airport Mersin Anamur Transfer
Vehicles & Prices
Price per vehicle — pick a class and book in a minute.
A Çukurova Airport to Anamur transfer is one of the longest Mersin routes we drive. The airport is at the province's eastern end, on the Tarsus side; Anamur is at the western end, on the border with Antalya. Between them the road leaves the plain and threads through the most winding part of the coast. This page explains how we plan the trip, which vehicle will keep you comfortable, and how to time your return.
Before the Long Road
We track the flight number in your booking, and if the plane is late, the pickup time moves to the real landing. Collect your bags and walk out of the arrivals exit, where your driver waits with a sign showing your name.
On a long trip, small preparations pay off. Keep medicines, phone chargers and anything the children need in your hand luggage, because a suitcase in the boot is hard to reach on the way. If you added a child seat to your booking, it comes already fitted.
Plain, Coast, Then the Bends
The first part of the drive crosses the Tarsus plain and skirts Mersin on wide roads. After Erdemli and Kizkalesi you reach Silifke. The real change comes after Taşucu. The road squeezes between mountains and sea, the bends tighten and one cove follows another. Past Aydıncık and Bozyazı, the Anamur plain opens out and the banana groves begin.
This winding stretch is one of the most scenic roads in the region. It can also be hard on anyone prone to car sickness. If that applies to someone in your party, mention it in the notes. Sitting in front helps. So does not setting off on an empty stomach.
A Car Chosen for Distance
Details that do not matter on a short city run become decisive here: seat width, legroom, luggage space.
- A couple wanting a relaxed ride: Premium Sedan or Comfort Class
- A family with children and plenty of bags: VIP Vito
- Travellers who want to rest the whole way: Ultra VIP Vito
- A wedding party or group tour: the fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter
Extended families heading home for a holiday often fill the eight-seat Mercedes Vito, while a small group expecting extra comfort can choose the seven-seat Ultra VIP Sprinter. Prices are per vehicle, so on a long route a full car brings the cost per person well down. The booking form shows every class.
Arrival and Timing the Way Back
Accommodation in Anamur is split between the town centre and the İskele seafront. Pick your hotel in the form or type the address in the notes. For more about the district, Mamure Castle and Anamurium, see our Mersin Anamur page.
On the return, timing is everything. Work back from your flight with a generous margin, and remember that the coast road can be busier on summer weekends and during public holidays. An early-morning flight may mean leaving during the night. Add the return when you book, using the "Add return" option, and the last day takes care of itself. To start, select Çukurova Airport as pickup and Mersin Anamur as drop-off.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the road from the airport to Anamur like?
After the Tarsus plain and Mersin, the route follows the coast through Erdemli, Silifke, Taşucu, Aydıncık and Bozyazı to Anamur. The section after Taşucu is a winding coastal road between mountains and sea. It is beautiful but calls for careful driving. Because the trip is long, we recommend choosing a comfortable vehicle class.
Will the winding road be a problem for car sickness?
The coast road between Taşucu and Anamur is full of bends and can be hard on passengers prone to car sickness. If that applies to someone in your group, say so in the booking notes and ask for the front seat. Not travelling on an empty stomach, avoiding a heavy meal and looking ahead at the horizon help most people. Add a child seat as an extra for young children.
I have an early flight home. How should I plan the return?
The drive between Anamur and the airport is long, so choose a pickup time that works back from your flight with plenty of margin for check-in and possible traffic. An early-morning departure may mean setting off at night. If you added the return with the Add return option, request any time change through the My Reservation page.
Is one vehicle enough for a big family?
Families of up to eight travel together in a Mercedes Vito, and groups of up to fifteen in a Mercedes Sprinter. On a long trip, luggage adds up too, so note your number of suitcases to help choose the right class. Because the price is per vehicle, the cost per person drops as the group grows.
