Çukurova Airport Kayseri Akkışla Transfer
Vehicles & Prices
Price per vehicle — pick a class and book in a minute.
A Çukurova Airport to Akkışla transfer is a long line drawn from the Mediterranean coast to the eastern edge of Central Anatolia. The airport sits on the plain near Tarsus; Akkışla lies on the far side of the Taurus Mountains, beyond the Kayseri plateau, close to the Sivas border. Doing this trip in one vehicle rather than by a chain of buses changes a great deal, especially after a long flight. This page explains the journey from landing to your family's front door.
The First Hour After a Long Trip Home
Most passengers on this route land after a long flight or a connection. They are tired and carry plenty of luggage. Put your flight number in the booking and we track the plane; if it is late, the pickup time follows the actual landing. Your driver waits at the arrivals exit with a sign bearing your name.
Families flying in from abroad typically bring two suitcases each plus a few boxes of gifts. Knowing that in advance makes it easier to pick the right vehicle.
From Citrus Plain to High Plateau
The drive passes through three different landscapes. First come the citrus groves and industrial buildings of the Tarsus plain. Then the motorway climbs into the Taurus range; valleys narrow and you feel the air cool. Over the mountains, the wide, treeless plateau of Central Anatolia opens up, with the snowy peak of Erciyes on the horizon. After skirting Kayseri, the road runs east through wheat fields and pasture to Akkışla.
It is a long road. The driver plans the route according to season and conditions. In winter the Taurus crossing and the plateau can bring snow, fog and ice. On such days the trip takes longer, and we put safe driving ahead of speed.
Choosing a Vehicle for a Long Drive
On a route like this, comfort matters more than on a short city hop. You will spend a long time in the back seat.
- Two people with two large suitcases: Business Sedan or Premium Sedan
- Elderly parents who want to stretch out: Comfort Class
- A family of five or six with gift boxes: VIP Vito
- A quieter, more private family journey: Ultra VIP Vito
- Two families or a group of relatives: eight-seat Mercedes Vito
- An extended family arriving for a wedding: Mercedes Sprinter
Prices are per vehicle and the booking form shows every class side by side. Add a child seat as an extra for young children.
The Family Door and the Trip Back
The easiest way to describe a village address is to note the village name, a nearby landmark and a phone number in the booking form. For more about the district, its neighbours and how village addresses work, see our Akkışla page.
Returns after religious holidays and at the end of summer are busy. We suggest adding your return at the time of booking using the “Add return” option, so both legs are in one reservation. Work the pickup time back from your flight, allowing for the length of the road and for check-in. To begin, choose Çukurova Airport as pickup and Kayseri Akkışla as drop-off in the booking form and enter your flight number.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why fly into Çukurova rather than Kayseri?
It depends entirely on your flight options. Some passengers find a better-timed flight into Çukurova Airport from abroad or from another Turkish city, and choose this route for that reason. If you land at Çukurova, we meet you at the arrivals exit and drive you to your door in Akkışla without any change of vehicle.
Can we stop for a break on the way?
On a drive this long, a break is natural. Mention any special needs in the booking notes, for example an elderly passenger or a small child, and the driver will plan a short stop at a suitable point with you. If you need to visit someone or run an errand on the way, book that as a separate transfer.
Does winter weather on the Taurus crossing affect the trip?
It can. Snow, fog and ice are possible on the Taurus crossing and on the Kayseri plateau in winter. On those days drivers put safety before speed, and the journey takes longer. If your return flight falls in the winter months, choose a slightly earlier pickup time to keep the schedule relaxed.
We are a big family. How many vehicles do we need?
Families of up to eight with their luggage fit a single Mercedes Vito. Larger groups can book the fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter. If you carry a lot of luggage, choosing one size up gives you more room. Because the price is per vehicle, travelling together in one car lowers the cost per person.
