Kahramanmaraş Nurhak Çukurova Airport Transfer
Vehicles & Prices
Price per vehicle — pick a class and book in a minute.
Some of our Nurhak to Çukurova Airport transfer passengers have only just come off the mountain. Boots caked in mud, a damp tent, tired legs. Others are families heading back to the city after a few weeks in the village. The drive runs from the highest district in Kahramanmaraş province, down along the edge of the Taurus range and out onto the plain near Tarsus. This page is about linking a mountain trip to a flight, packing gear for the plane and working out the pickup.
Leave a Night Between the Summit and the Flight
Mountains rarely stick to the plan. Weather turns, the descent takes longer, and the slowest walker sets the pace. That is why we suggest at least one night between the last day on the trail and your flight. Setting off rested makes a long road feel shorter. Coming down and flying on the same day turns a small delay into a missed plane.
Build the Pickup Time Backwards
Start from the departure time. Subtract the check-in and bag-drop window your airline recommends; with bulky gear, bag drop can take a little longer, so keep that in mind. Allow for security. Then add the road: first the descent from the mountains towards Kahramanmaraş, then the motorway across the plain. Enter the result as your pickup time in the form. Your driver is at the address you give at that time.
In winter the high ground can see snow and ice. For morning flights at that time of year, move the pickup earlier and check the forecast the evening before.
Getting Your Gear Ready to Fly
Some climbing kit is restricted on planes. Everything fits in the car; the trouble starts at the airport. Before setting off, check the following:
- Look up your airline's rules on gas canisters and fuel, which usually cannot be flown.
- Pack trekking poles, ice axes and blades in the hold or a kit bag, not in the cabin.
- Wrap muddy boots and a wet tent in a separate heavy-duty bag.
- Tuck in rucksack straps or use a cover, as loose straps catch on baggage belts.
- Carry batteries and power banks in hand luggage, following your airline's rules.
- Keep one dry set of clothes aside so you are not sitting in damp layers all the way.
Pickup From a Village, a Guesthouse or the End of the Trail
Be clear about where you want to be collected. For a village house, put the village name, a known landmark near the house and a phone number that will be on in the notes. If the group is gathering at a guesthouse or in the district centre, name it. If you want to be picked up straight from the village where your walk ends, choose a spot a car can reach easily; trailheads are usually not suitable.
Pick the vehicle by people and gear volume, remembering that rucksacks take more space than suitcases. A group of four walkers suits a VIP Vito, six to eight the eight-seat Mercedes Vito, and club groups the fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter. A couple returning from the village fits a Business Sedan. Prices are per vehicle, not per person.
Completing the Booking
In the form, select Nurhak as the pickup point and Çukurova Airport as the destination. Add the flight number, departure time, pickup point and a note about your gear. If plans change, send a change request from the My Reservation page. For more about the district, see our Nurhak transfer page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we fly on the same day we finish our hike?
It is possible, but we do not recommend it. The descent can take longer because of weather or the group's pace, and a long drive comes on top. A night between the last trail day and the flight lets you rest and lowers the risk of delay. Set the pickup time by counting back from the flight.
What should we do with gas canisters and trekking poles?
Check your airline's rules on gas canisters and fuel; these usually cannot go on the plane, so plan to get rid of them before you leave. Pack poles, ice axes and anything with a blade in the hold or a kit bag rather than in the cabin.
Can you collect us from the village where our walk ends?
Yes, as long as it is a village or spot a car can reach comfortably. In the notes, give the village name, a clear meeting point and a phone number that will be on. Trailheads and narrow mountain tracks are usually unsuitable; a village square or a point beside the main road works better.
Bad weather slowed our descent. Can we change the pickup time?
Open your booking on the My Reservation page and send a change request with the new pickup time or date. If your flight is changing too, add the new departure time. The earlier you get the request in, the easier it is to arrange, so send it as soon as you have signal.
