About the destination

Transfer to Gaziantep İslahiye

A Gaziantep İslahiye transfer can start from very different reasons: a family heading back to its village, an engineer going to a site, a history lover who wants to see Yesemek. İslahiye sits at the western edge of Gaziantep province, at the foot of the Amanos Mountains, bordering Hatay and Osmaniye. Here we describe the district, the historic sites around it and where our private transfers take people from there.

A Plain Under the Amanos

İslahiye has mountains on one side and farmland on the other. The Amanos range rises on one side, and the town spreads over the flat ground below. It looks quite different from the rest of Gaziantep: instead of red pistachio soil, there are fields watered by streams running down from the mountains. In winter the peaks hold snow. The plain turns green with the rain.

The railway is the other part of its story. Fevzipaşa, an important junction on the old Baghdad line, lies within the district. Railway towns have a particular feel. A little old, a little tired. Still on the move.

A Hittite Stone Workshop and Zincirli

What makes İslahiye known beyond the region are two layers of deep history. The Yesemek Open-Air Museum is a Hittite-era quarry and sculpture workshop, where half-finished lions and sphinxes still lie on the hillside as if the carvers stepped away for lunch and never came back. Zincirli Höyük holds the remains of the ancient city of Sam'al.

Both are short day trips from town. Check opening times and access before setting off.

A Crossroads Between Three Provinces

İslahiye's location makes it a junction: Gaziantep to the east, Osmaniye to the west, Hatay to the south, with the main road from Gaziantep to Antakya running through the district. Our most frequent routes are to Gaziantep city, Nurdağı, Osmaniye, Hassa and Kırıkhan on the Hatay side, and the airport. Pickup is from the door of your home or hotel.
