Çukurova Airport Kahramanmaraş Nurhak Transfer
Vehicles & Prices
Price per vehicle — pick a class and book in a minute.
A Çukurova Airport to Nurhak transfer is one of the steepest climbs in the region. You land on a plain close to sea level and finish at the foot of the mountains, in the highest district of Kahramanmaraş province. Our passengers on this route are usually either families heading home to their village or mountaineers bound for Ali Gölü. This page covers what both groups need to know, from landing to arrival.
Landing With Gear
We track your flight number, so if the plane is delayed the pickup moves with it. Your driver waits at the arrivals exit holding a sign with your name. For hiking groups, baggage claim can take a while: big rucksacks, poles and tent bags sometimes come out on a separate belt. No need to rush. The sign will be there.
Packing gear into a consistent set of bags makes loading quicker. A small detail. In a group of eight, it adds up.
From the Plain Into the Taurus
The first section follows flat roads across the Çukurova plain, around Adana and on towards Osmaniye. After Kahramanmaraş the mountain roads begin. As you climb, trees thin out, slopes turn bare and the air grows thinner and cooler. On the last stretch the mass of the Nurhak Mountains fills the horizon.
The final part of this route depends heavily on the season. In winter, snow and ice can slow the journey, and the driver plans the route around the day's road conditions. In summer the mountain roads are open and the views wide. On evening flights you will arrive after dark, which is when a detailed village address really matters.
Vehicles for Hiking Groups and Families
- One or two passengers: Business Sedan or Comfort Class
- A hiking group of four or five with gear: VIP Vito
- A larger hiking club or two families: the eight-seat Mercedes Vito
- An association trip or a wedding party: the fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter
- A small group that wants to rest after a long flight: Ultra VIP Vito
- Families with small children: any class, with a child seat added as an extra
Prices are per vehicle, not per passenger, so a big group sharing one vehicle keeps costs down.
Drop-Off Point and Planning the Return
Drop-off can be a house in the town, a village or the place where your hike begins. We work door to door; write the exact point in the booking notes. For more about the district, Ali Gölü and life on the summer pastures, see our Nurhak page.
Add your return when you book your arrival, using the "Add return" option so both legs share one reservation. A tip for hikers: schedule the return for the morning after your planned finish, not the same day. Weather and tired legs have a way of stretching mountain plans. To begin, select Çukurova Airport as pickup and Nurhak as drop-off.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the driver wait for us at the airport?
Your driver waits at the arrivals exit of Çukurova Airport with a sign showing your name. We track your flight, so if it lands late the meeting time moves to the actual landing. Even if large gear comes out on a separate belt, there is no need to hurry; the sign will be at the exit, and the car then takes you to Nurhak.
Can you drop us directly at the village where our hike starts?
Yes, we work door to door. Write the trailhead village or your accommodation clearly in the booking notes, along with a phone number. If the road is unsuitable for a large vehicle, the car stops at the nearest safe point; sedan classes handle narrow village roads more easily than larger vans in that situation.
How should we choose our return time?
Mountain plans often slip because of weather or fatigue, so setting the return for the morning after your planned finish is usually more relaxed than the same evening. Add the return with the "Add return" option when you book, and if your plans change, request a new time through the My Reservation page.
Can we travel to Nurhak in winter?
Yes, but allow plenty of time. Nurhak is the highest district in the province, so snow and ice can slow the drive in winter. Our driver plans the journey around road conditions. If you have a return flight to catch, choose a pickup time clearly earlier than you would in summer.
