The Old Clock Tower and the Bazaar Streets

Start at the Big Clock Tower, Büyük Saat, and walk into Kazancılar Çarşısı. Coppersmiths, spice sellers and old caravanserai courtyards line the lanes. This is the oldest part of the city. A few minutes away, the Roman-era stone bridge, Taşköprü, crosses the river to the eastern bank.

Follow the river and you reach Merkez Park and the Sabancı Central Mosque, whose domes and minarets you can see from far across town. Evenings are lively. Kebab houses fill up, families stroll along the water, and the heat finally eases a little after sunset.

Visitors to Seyhan usually have a fixed agenda and a tight schedule. Most fall into a handful of groups.

The old Şakirpaşa airport is also in Seyhan, but passenger flights have moved to Çukurova Airport, so that is where you will land. The railway station is in the district too. Rail works have affected some services, so check the current timetable before you plan around a train.
