Tisan Transfer
Tisan private transfer from summer homes, sites and the holiday village on Silifke's two-bay peninsula to the airport, Taşucu, Silifke and Mersin.
Transfer to Tisan
A Tisan transfer usually means a summer house, a set of keys and a car full of bags. Tisan sits on a small peninsula on the Silifke coast of Mersin province, west of Taşucu, reached by a road that leaves the main coastal highway near Yeşilovacık and winds down to the sea. Two coves, one on each side of the headland, are what people come for. Here is what the place is like, who stays, and how our private transfers link it with the rest of the region.
A Headland With Two Bays
The simplest description of Tisan: an east bay and a west bay, with the peninsula between them. Clear turquoise water, rocky shores, pine trees above. When the wind roughs up one bay, the other is often calm. Regulars pick their swimming spot for the day by checking the wind first.
This is not a town beach. The access road climbs into the hills before it drops back to the shore, and the settlement itself is a mix of a holiday village, private summer homes and rental apartments. Evenings are quiet. That is the whole point.
The People Who Return Every Summer
Tisan has a loyal crowd. Many families open the same house year after year, and outside high season the visitors are mostly couples and small groups looking for peace.
- Owners who arrive in June and lock up again at the end of summer
- Families renting an apartment for a fortnight by the sea
- Visitors joining boat trips to the coves along this coast
- Engineers and staff from the Akkuyu side or Silifke taking a weekend off
Opening a summer house involves more than suitcases: boxes of kitchenware, bed linen, sometimes a bicycle. That is why we often suggest a VIP Vito even for a family of four. Larger family gatherings fit in the eight-seat Mercedes Vito, and groups of friends in a Mercedes Sprinter.
Errands, Ferries and Day Trips
Life on the peninsula is slow, but errands still happen. For a big supermarket run, a bank or a hospital appointment, most residents go to Silifke. Taşucu harbour, to the east, is the nearest lively waterfront. If you plan to take the ferry from Taşucu to Northern Cyprus, check the current sailing status before you travel.
For a longer day out, the ancient city of Uzuncaburç in the hills behind Silifke, or Kızkalesi and Narlıkuyu further east, make good trips. Book them as separate point-to-point transfers for the way out and the way back.
Where We Drive From Tisan
Airport runs are the most common request. We also take guests to Mersin for business, to Adana to visit relatives and to Silifke for appointments. Pickup is from your house, site or holiday village gate. For the long coastal drive from the airport, including meeting at arrivals, read our page on the Çukurova Airport to Tisan transfer.
Prices are per vehicle, not per person. Select Tisan in the booking form, add your date and compare the vehicle classes. Put the name of your site or holiday village in the notes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where exactly is Tisan?
Tisan is a coastal settlement in the Silifke district of Mersin province, west of Taşucu. You reach it from the Mersin–Antalya coastal highway by turning towards the sea near Yeşilovacık. The peninsula has an east bay and a west bay, with a holiday village, summer homes and rental apartments. It is known as a quiet summer retreat rather than a busy resort.
We are opening our summer house and have lots of luggage. Which vehicle?
Opening a house usually means boxes, linen and kitchen items on top of suitcases. Even for a family of up to four, a VIP Vito gives far more luggage space than a sedan. For bigger families or a lot of gear, the eight-seat Mercedes Vito works well. Because pricing is per vehicle, a larger car stays reasonable per person.
Can you drive us from Tisan to Silifke or Taşucu?
Yes. You can book point-to-point transfers from Tisan to Silifke centre, Taşucu harbour, Uzuncaburç or Kızkalesi, and add the way back with the Add return option in the booking form. If you are continuing by ferry from Taşucu, confirm the sailing time and status with the operator before your trip.
Is the name of our site enough for the pickup?
There are several sites and a holiday village on the peninsula, so please write the site name, block or house number and a reachable phone number in the notes. That makes the pickup point clear. If your accommodation changes, send a change request through the My Reservation page and our team will update the plan.
