Transfer to Narlikuyu

Half of all Narlıkuyu transfer requests start with a lunch plan. This small cove in the Silifke district of Mersin is known for fish restaurants right on the water, a little museum protecting a Roman mosaic, and the Heaven and Hell sinkholes just up the hill. A tiny place with a big reputation. Here we explain what Narlıkuyu is like, what you will find there and how our private transfers connect it with the rest of the coast.

A Cove, a Few Tables and a Lot of Fish

Narlıkuyu is a narrow inlet tucked into a rocky shore. Restaurant tables sit almost on top of the water. There is a small jetty for fishing boats, children jumping off the rocks, and gardens that fill slowly through the afternoon. Plenty of families drive down from Mersin or over from Kızkalesi for nothing more than a long fish lunch.

On summer weekends, parking along the cove's narrow road gets difficult. That is where a door-to-door transfer earns its keep. We drop you outside the restaurant and you never think about parking.

The Three Graces and a Garden Underground

Right by the water, the Narlıkuyu Mosaic Museum protects the floor mosaic of a Roman bath. Its best-known panel shows three female figures known as the Three Graces. It is a small museum, and a few quiet minutes in front of the mosaic make a good pause before lunch.

On the road climbing up from the cove are the Heaven and Hell sinkholes, two huge openings in the ground. Steps lead down into one of them, where the remains of a small chapel wait at the bottom. Most visitors fit the cove and the sinkholes into the same day.

Who Comes to Narlıkuyu

  • Families from Mersin and Erdemli coming for a weekend fish lunch
  • Holidaymakers staying in Kızkalesi or Susanoğlu, popping over for the afternoon
  • History lovers visiting the sinkholes and the mosaic museum
  • Engineers working at Akkuyu who escape to the coast at weekends
  • Photographers chasing the evening light over the rocky shore
  • Foreign travellers following the coastal road towards Silifke

We have no hotels listed in Narlıkuyu itself. Most of our guests stay in Kızkalesi, Susanoğlu, Silifke or Taşucu, so the cove is usually a day stop rather than a base.

Where We Go From the Cove

If you want to combine Narlıkuyu with other stops in one day, plan the outward and return trips as separate point-to-point transfers: from your hotel to the sinkholes in the morning, say, and from Narlıkuyu back to your hotel later. The "Add return" option in the booking form keeps the second leg in the same reservation.

For travellers landing and heading for the coast, our page on the transfer from Çukurova Airport to Narlıkuyu covers the drive and the right vehicle. From the cove we also drive to Mersin city centre, Adana, Silifke, Taşucu and Akkuyu.

Prices are per vehicle. Choose Narlıkuyu in the booking form, add your destination and date, and compare the vehicle classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Narlıkuyu?

Narlıkuyu is a small seaside settlement in the Silifke district of Mersin province, on the coastal road between Mersin and Silifke, west of Kızkalesi. It is known for its waterside fish restaurants, the Narlıkuyu Mosaic Museum with its Three Graces mosaic, and the Heaven and Hell sinkholes just above the cove.

Can we see the sinkholes and Narlıkuyu on the same day?

Yes. They are very close to each other and most visitors combine them. Book one point-to-point transfer from your hotel to the sinkholes and another from Narlıkuyu back to your hotel; the "Add return" option keeps both in a single reservation. Bring comfortable shoes, as there are steps down into the sinkhole.

Will you drop us right at the restaurant?

We work door to door. Write the restaurant's name in the notes and the driver will take you to it in the cove. On busy summer weekends the road can be congested; if the car has to stop at a safe point a few steps away, you will be picked up from the same spot on the way back.
