The Çukurova Airport to Kumkuyu transfer is one of the longer coastal runs in the region. The airport sits on the Tarsus side, while Kumkuyu lies beyond Erdemli, right next to Ayaş and Kizkalesi. In between are Mersin, Mezitli and the greenhouse plain around Erdemli. This page covers the journey from landing to your complex gate, staying comfortable on a longer drive and planning the way back.

Meet First, Then the Open Road

Add your flight number when you book and we track the flight. If it lands late, the pickup moves to the actual landing time. After baggage claim, look for the sign with your name at the arrivals exit.

Before a longer drive, small things matter. Buy a bottle of water, take the children to the toilet, charge your phone. Once you are in the car, the coast unrolls ahead of you.

Greenhouses, Lemon Groves and a New Motorway

The first stretch follows the wide roads between Tarsus and Mersin. Then the city falls behind and the route turns west. Past Mezitli the greenhouses begin, and near Erdemli the lemon groves thicken. The sea appears on your left, disappears, appears again.

There is now another option on this route: the motorway from Cesmeli towards Kizkalesi, recently opened to traffic. On summer weekends, when the coastal road jams, it can help. Your driver decides which road to take based on the time and traffic. You can simply relax.

Why Vehicle Class Matters on a Longer Trip

On a short city hop, the class of car barely registers. On a long coastal drive it does: legroom, seat comfort, luggage that is not squeezed against your feet.

  • Two people, two suitcases: Business Sedan or Premium Sedan
  • Couples wanting extra space for the long ride: Ultra VIP Vito
  • Family with pushchair and beach gear: VIP Vito
  • Two families heading to the same complex: eight-seat Mercedes Vito

Small groups wanting a more refined cabin pick the Ultra VIP Sprinter, and larger parties of up to fifteen the Mercedes Sprinter. Prices are per vehicle and every class appears side by side in the booking form. Child seats can be added as an extra.

Complex Gate Drop-Off and the Return

Many complexes in Kumkuyu sit side by side with entrances close together. In the notes, give the complex name, block and flat, or the hotel name, and the driver will stop at the right gate. If you collect your keys from the site management, let them know your arrival time in advance. For more about the town, the Akkale ruins and nearby sights, see our Kumkuyu page.

Add your return now. The “Add return” option keeps both directions in one booking. Because the drive is long, work your pickup time back from your flight with room for traffic and check-in. To begin, select Çukurova Airport as pickup and Kumkuyu as drop-off.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you use the new motorway or the coastal road?

Your driver picks the route according to the time and the traffic. The new motorway from Cesmeli towards Kizkalesi can be a good alternative when the coastal road is busy, especially on summer weekends. At other times the coastal road flows well. You do not need to state a preference; the aim is a calm drive to your door.

Which vehicle is most comfortable for the longer drive?

For two people, a Premium Sedan is a comfortable choice. Couples or small families wanting more legroom and wider seats often choose the Ultra VIP Vito. Families with children suit a VIP Vito, and two families together the eight-seat Mercedes Vito. You will see the price for each class in the booking form.

Will the driver wait if my flight lands late?

We track the flight number in your booking, so if your plane is late the pickup is set to the actual landing time. Collect your luggage and walk through the arrivals exit, where the driver waits with your name on a sign. The car then takes you straight to your complex or hotel in Kumkuyu.

Can we be collected from our hotel for the return?

Yes. When you add the return with the “Add return” option, give your complex or hotel as the pickup point and write its name in the notes. We work door to door, so pickup happens right outside where you are staying. If plans change, send a change request through the My Reservation page.
