Çukurova Airport Ayas Transfer
Vehicles & Prices
Price per vehicle — pick a class and book in a minute.
A Çukurova Airport to Ayas transfer is a coastal run that crosses Mersin, follows the Erdemli shore and finishes just before Kizkalesi. You know you are close to Ayas before any road sign tells you, because the ancient stonework starts appearing by the roadside. Below we cover the trip from landing to your complex gate, the landmarks on the way and a few practical points specific to Ayas.
Who Is Waiting at the Exit
Enter your flight number when you book. We track the flight, and if it is delayed the pickup time follows the actual landing. Walk through the arrivals exit and look for our driver holding a sign with your name. The car is reserved for your party only.
In the first weeks of the summer season the arrivals area gets crowded. If you are a big family, gather everyone's luggage at the belt and come out together. Spotting the sign in one go beats scattering at the door.
Landmarks Along the Way
The first part of the drive follows wide roads from the airport into Mersin. Beyond the western edge of the city the D400 comes down to the sea. The built-up stretches of Mezitli and Erdemli follow, with greenhouses and lemon and orange groves in between. After Erdemli centre the houses thin out and rocky slopes rising towards the Taurus become more noticeable on the right.
Then arches and old stone walls appear. Those are the ruins of Elaiussa Sebaste, and they mean you have reached Ayas. Complexes sit on both the sea side and the inland side of the highway, so it helps to know which side yours is on.
The Right Vehicle for Your Group
- Solo traveller or couple: Business Sedan, Premium Sedan or Comfort Class
- Family of four or five with summer luggage: VIP Vito
- Family wanting a roomier, quieter cabin: Ultra VIP Vito
- Grandparents, parents and grandchildren together: eight-seat Mercedes Vito
- Wedding guests or a big group of friends: fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter
- Group of up to seven travelling in extra comfort: Ultra VIP Sprinter
Prices are per vehicle and the booking form shows each class side by side. Child seats can be added as an extra; say how many you need if you have more than one child.
Getting Into Your Complex, and Getting Home
Complex names in Ayas can sound alike. In the booking, give the full name of the complex, the block number and whether it is on the sea side or the inland side of the road. For more on the town itself, the ancient city and nearby outings, see our Ayas page.
No need to sort out the return separately: the Add return option in the booking form puts the outbound and return trips in one booking. At the end of September many families leave their complexes on the same days, and the road can get busy. Choose a pickup time that works back from your flight, with a margin for check-in. Then select Çukurova Airport and Ayas in the form and add your flight number.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why book ahead instead of taking a taxi at the airport?
With a pre-booked transfer the driver waits at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name and keeps track of your flight. You see the price by vehicle class when you book, and because it is per vehicle, large families know the cost per person in advance. The car takes you straight to your complex gate in Ayas.
Our complex is on the inland side of the road. Should we mention it?
Yes, it helps. In Ayas, complexes line both the sea side and the inland side of the D400, and the turn-offs differ. Add the full complex name, block number and which side of the road it is on. If anything changes after booking, send an update request from the My Reservation page.
Can we book the outbound and return together?
Yes. The Add return option in the booking form lets you schedule the trip from Ayas back to the airport in the same reservation. Enter the return date, pickup time and flight details. Since roads can be busy at the end of the season, we suggest working back from your flight with a comfortable margin.
What should we arrange for a baby or toddler?
Add a child seat as an extra when you book and note how many children are travelling. Families usually pick a VIP Vito, as a pushchair and baby bags need boot space. Keep formula, water and wipes in your hand luggage so you can reach them easily during the drive.
