Çukurova Airport Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant Transfer
Vehicles & Prices
Price per vehicle — pick a class and book in a minute.
A Çukurova Airport to Akkuyu transfer takes you almost the full length of the Mersin coast. The airport lies on the Tarsus side; the plant sits at the far western end of the province, on the shore at Büyükeceli in the Gülnar district. In between you pass a city, citrus orchards, beach towns and, after Silifke, a winding coastal road. Here is how the trip runs from touchdown to the gate.
From the Aircraft Door to the Car
We track the flight number in your booking. If your plane is late, we move the pickup time to match the actual landing, so you do not need to call anyone. Once you have your bags, your driver will be waiting at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name. We can add your company name too, which helps when several contractors land on the same flight.
The car is parked close by. Bags go in. You are on the road. If you carry sensitive instruments, tell the driver and keep them in the cabin rather than the boot.
Heading West Along the Coast
The first stretch runs through or around Mersin on a wide, fast highway. Past the city, greenhouses and lemon groves take over towards Erdemli. You will spot the sea castle at Kizkalesi offshore, then drop onto the flat Göksu delta around Silifke. After Silifke the road changes character: it hugs the coastline, bends constantly and climbs where the mountains meet the sea. This section rewards a calm, steady driver, not a fast one.
For night arrivals we pay extra attention to the vehicle. A quiet cabin and a seat that reclines make a real difference if you start work the next morning.
Matching the Vehicle to the Team
- Solo traveller with one case: Business Sedan or Premium Sedan
- Senior staff who want to rest on a long drive: Comfort Class or Ultra VIP Vito
- Crew of up to six with tool cases: VIP Vito
- Shift groups and delegations of up to fifteen: Mercedes Sprinter
Pricing is per vehicle, so colleagues on the same flight save by sharing. You will see the exact figure for each class in the booking form. Families visiting staff can add a child seat as an extra.
Drop-Off Point and the Trip Back
Entry to the plant is controlled, so write the gate or assembly point your employer has given you in the booking notes. Many people go straight to their lodging or hotel instead. For more on the area itself, nearby towns and onward trips from the site, see our Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant page.
Our advice on the return: if your end date is confirmed, use the "Add return" option in the booking form so the trip back sits in the same reservation. It is a long drive back to the airport, and you need a buffer for check-in and security. You can request a new time later through My Reservation. To start, pick Çukurova Airport as pickup and Akkuyu as drop-off in the booking form and add your flight number.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes for you. We follow the flight number in your booking and adjust the pickup to the real landing time. Your driver waits at the arrivals exit with a name sign. If your flight number changes, send an update through the My Reservation page and our team will rework the plan around the new details.
What is the road to Akkuyu like?
Between Mersin and Erdemli it is a broad, easy highway. After Silifke it follows the coast and becomes winding, with sections where the mountains drop straight to the sea. Our drivers know this road well and keep a steady pace. If you get car sick, ask for the front seat or choose a roomier vehicle.
Can you meet a late-night flight?
Yes. We plan the pickup around your flight, whatever the hour. Many engineers arriving at night want a few hours of sleep before their first shift, so they enter their hotel or lodging as the drop-off address. For the long drive, roomier classes such as Comfort Class or the Ultra VIP Vito are the most restful choice.
When should I book my return transfer?
If your assignment end date is fixed, add it when you book: the "Add return" option in the booking form keeps both legs in one reservation. The drive from Akkuyu to the airport is long, so work backwards from your departure time and leave a margin for check-in and security screening. If your plans change, you can ask for a different pickup time through the My Reservation page.
