About the destination

Transfer to BTC Ceyhan Marine Terminal

Most BTC Ceyhan Marine Terminal transfer requests start with a tanker schedule, not a holiday plan. This is where the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline meets the sea: a crude oil export terminal in the Ceyhan district of Adana, on the shore of the Gulf of İskenderun. If you are a seafarer joining a ship, a surveyor booked for a loading, or an engineer on a maintenance rotation, this page explains how private transfer to and from the terminal works and what the area around it looks like.

Where the Pipeline Ends

The site is also known as the Haydar Aliyev Terminal. The Turkish section of the pipeline is operated by BOTAŞ International. A long jetty runs out from the shore, and tankers berth at its far end to load Caspian crude. From the road you mostly see storage tanks, fencing and checkpoints.

It is an industrial facility with controlled access. The rules belong to the terminal, not to us. We bring passengers to the point the site allows, which is usually the security gate. Who enters, and in which vehicle, is the terminal's decision.

Crew Changes, Surveyors and Shutdown Teams

The people we drive here rarely change. Their hours do. A berthing can fall at midnight or just before dawn, and a crew change follows the ship, not the office clock.

  • Seafarers signing on or off tankers
  • Cargo surveyors and loading masters
  • Engineering teams arriving for planned maintenance periods
  • Managers, auditors and insurers on short visits
  • Agency staff escorting crew between the gate and their hotel
  • Contractors who split the week between Ceyhan and Adana

A seafarer heading for a long contract carries real luggage. Two large cases and a backpack for one person is normal. That is why some single travellers pick a VIP Vito over a sedan, simply for the boot. A crew change of four or five fits an eight-seat Mercedes Vito, and a large maintenance team travels together in a fifteen-seat Mercedes Sprinter.

Staying Near the Terminal

There is no hotel at the terminal itself. Field teams tend to stay in Ceyhan town, close to the road. Others pick the small coastal hotels on the Yumurtalık side. Visiting managers usually choose Adana city centre, where the hotel choice is wider.

We cover the daily runs between all three. Hotel to gate in the morning, gate to hotel in the evening, a meeting in Adana the next day. Each one is a separate door-to-door booking.

Where We Drive From Ceyhan

The airport run is the most common, because a seafarer leaving a ship wants to get home. For the airport leg itself, including meeting at arrivals and how we handle night landings, see our page on the airport transfer to the BTC terminal. We also drive from here to Mersin port, İskenderun, Gaziantep and hotels across Adana.

Prices are per vehicle, not per person, which keeps crew-change invoices simple. Choose BTC Ceyhan Marine Terminal in the booking form, enter the date and time, and compare vehicle classes. You can view the booking later on the My Reservation page and send a change request if the ship's schedule moves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can your vehicle drive inside the terminal?

The terminal is a controlled energy facility, and the site management decides who enters and in which vehicle. We bring you to the point the terminal allows, usually the security gate. If your company or ship agent has given you a different meeting point, enter it in full when you book and we will plan the pickup or drop-off around it.

Do you pick up in the middle of the night?

Yes. Tanker schedules ignore office hours, so night and early-morning pickups are routine for us. Enter the date and time as accurately as you can, and mention it if the sign-off time is not yet fixed. If the time changes, send a change request from the My Reservation page so the pickup moves with it.

Where do terminal visitors usually stay?

There is no accommodation at the terminal. Field crews mostly stay in Ceyhan town or at coastal hotels on the Yumurtalık side, while visiting managers often prefer Adana city centre for its wider choice of hotels. Daily runs between your hotel and the terminal gate can be booked as separate private transfers.

Is the price calculated per crew member?

No. We price per vehicle. An eight-person crew travels in one Mercedes Vito and a fifteen-person team in one Mercedes Sprinter, and the price is the price of that vehicle. The booking form shows every vehicle class side by side, so you can match the choice to the team size and the amount of luggage.
